SocialLair Community Guidelines
“The Silver Rule: Do not do to others what you would not
like them to do to you.”
– Nicholas Nassim Taleb
Although we support free speech, there are limits. For
example, you can’t yell “Fire!” in a crowded theater unless there actually is a fire. And because we’re
a private company, the First Amendment doesn’t apply to the Lair.
For any community to thrive, there must be guidelines.
These rules exist because we want all members to enjoy their time in the Lair.
When you join the Lair, and every time you sign in to your
account, you agree to abide by these guidelines as they are updated from time to time. If you violate
these rules, we will exercise our unilateral discretion to enforce these guidelines. This can include,
but is not limited to, account suspension or termination.
- The Lair doesn’t host video or audio files. If there’s
a video or audio file that’s hosted elsewhere (and doesn’t otherwise violate our guidelines), you
may hyperlink to it.
- We are not Thought Police. Think what you want. Just
be polite when posting content in the Lair.
- We ain’t Grammar Nazis. Dangle participles to your
heart’s content.
- Grow a thick skin. If someone refers to you by the
wrong pronoun, suck it up, Buttercup.
- Don’t post or hyperlink to any illegal, false,
fraudulent, or deceptive content. Or otherwise use your account for illegal activities. If you’re
looking for a place to share underage clown porn, the Lair isn’t the right community for you.
- Want to promote your business? Unless it is permitted
by the rules of an individual Lair, SocialLair isn’t a free street corner to pitch your stuff, get
lead gens, or pike money-making opportunities. If you want to sell stuff, click here to purchase your own
Lair.
- If you like another social media platform, that’s
fine.
However, don’t promote our competitor on SocialLair.
- Questions, comments, debate, and discussion are
encouraged. However, bullying, doxxing, or threatening anyone (including harm to yourself) will get
you banned like an Amish shunning.
- Keep content rated PG-13 (or less). Don’t post or link
to anything that would make Grandma blush.
- We will fully cooperate with law enforcement and
government agencies investigating illegal activities upon
receipt of a court order.
- Before posting or linking to anything you believe
might violate these guidelines, ask us first.
- Lair owners are primarily responsible for enforcing
these community guidelines in their respective Lairs. Failure to do so may result in suspension or
termination of the Lair and/or the Lair owner’s account.
